CAF has closed the acquisition of Alstom´s manufacturing site in Reichshoffen, the Coradia Polyvalent platform with its associated project portfolio, as well as the intellectual property of the Talent 3 platform aimed at the German and central European markets together with related key engineering personnel (see piece of news).

Reichshoffen assets include over 700 employees in the fields of engineering, purchasing, project management, manufacturing and administration, as well as potential to implement programs in a wide range of vehicles.
The Coradia Polyvalent platform, prepared for international traffic, is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h in electric or bimodal traction, and it has a project portfolio worth approximately €500 million. Among others, contracts with SNCF Voyageurs, Hello Paris Services, RATP, and Agence de Promotion des Investissements et des Grands Travaux. The agreement guarantees the workload at the Reichshoffen site for the coming years.
Finally, the agreement includes the intellectual property of the Talent 3 platform, capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h even with electric traction, and the transfer of a related team of German engineers.
