Regular ICE L service begins between Westerland and Hamburg, Germany



Deutsche Bahn has strengthened long-distance services in Germany with the introduction of the ICE L on the route between Westerland (Sylt) and Hamburg.

The ICE L has begun regular service, connecting Westerland (Sylt) and Hamburg with four trains a day. To mark the start of these operations, a ceremony was held to name the first train of this fleet the ‘Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park’. This is a new generation of rolling stock manufactured by Talgo. Its implementation in Germany has been carried out gradually.
