The completion of this phase marks a step forward in the construction of the new 10-kilometre double-track line between Sandbukta and Saastad. The substructure includes reinforcement and frost-protection layers built from crushed stone and ballast.

Following this phase, Bane NOR can move ahead with installing the track superstructure and rail systems along this section, while the MossIA consortium continues work on the remaining activities under the project, scheduled for completion in 2027.
