The financing approved by the European Investment Bank also includes the Olmedo bypass, a link between the Madrid-Valladolid high-speed line and the Madrid-Galicia line, which will enable high-speed travel across the northern half of Spain. ‘This project, together with the new Burgos-Vitoria high-speed line, currently under construction and approximately 93 kilometres long, is a key part of the basic network of the Atlantic Corridor of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T)’, added the Atlantic Corridor Commission.
