The vehicles will be built at Stadler’s manufacturing plant in Valencia. This locomotive will be the first one to offer zero-emission freight transport from terminal to terminal. The smart battery module enables advanced energy management functions such as brake energy storage, peak shaving and energy trading. The new panto-battery hybrid locomotive has a multi-system architecture designed to ensure seamless cross-border operation between Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy. First deliveries are planned for 2029.
