The new Talgo stock has begun with one EuroCity (EC) service per day in each direction, replacing the current older rolling stock. In the following weeks the number of daily frequencies will be gradually increased. This will more than triple the passenger capacity on each service, as Talgo's EuroCity trains have 492 seats compared to the 136 seats on the vehicles used until now.
