The contract includes options for a total of up to 120 units, reinforcing the Basque company’s positioning as a strategic supplier in sustainable mobility. The new regional trains will reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h (140 km/h under battery), and will be equipped with two traction converters located on the roof of the vehicles. These water-cooled converters are designed and manufactured at the Ortuella (Bizkaia) facilities. Ingeteam's new equipment integrates all essential components, such as the traction inverter, brake chopper and line converter.
