Sener participates in Santiago-Batuco and Alameda-Melipilla railway lines in Chile



Both lines will have a combined length of 84 kilometres.

Sener is currently involved in a railway infrastructure development project in Chile: the Santiago-Batuco and Alameda-Melipilla passenger train lines.

(27/06/2025) The Santiago-Batuco and Alameda-Melipilla lines are two projects promoted by the State Railway Company (Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado, EFE). The objective is to improve connectivity for millions of people in the Santiago Metropolitan Region.

Sener will be in charge of providing consultancy for the development of the control centre for both lines (Santiago-Batuco and Alameda-Melipilla).The company’s work also includes the preparation of technical specifications for the detailed engineering of the Alameda-Melipilla railway tracks; project monitoring and engineering review services for the track and overhead line systems on this line, in consortium with Ardanuy; and the operational model simulation for both the Santiago-Batuco and Alameda-Melipilla projects.
