During Rail Live 21, Ingeteam presented the multi-voltage traction module, based on 3-level technology, of the new family of power modules, Power Electronic Building Blocks, for railway applications.

According to rolling stock’s requirements, different topologies are offered (2-level, 3-level, etc.) that improve relevant aspects such as power density, competitiveness, construction time and availability of the equipment based on the on-board, on roof or under-frame location, desired modularity or the need to reuse components.

Ingeteam also presented the module´s design, validation and characterization of the different components; thermal and corrosion tests, etc.; and the final tests the module undergoes once it is built.
