This is the first memorandum signed with the Arab country on these areas and aims to strengthen relations between the two countries as well as to encourage mutual support at international organizations.

As far as the railway sector is concerned, the agreement is the result of the technical capacity of the Spanish railway industry, and it shows the interest of the Spanish companies in the investment effort made by the Emirates to develop projects, such as the Gulf Railway or the extension of the Dubai Metro.
