Ineco and Idom are awarded section of Rail Baltica project



The consortium formed by Ineco and Idom has been awarded one of the 11 sections into which the Rail Baltica project has been divided. The high-speed railway corridor will join the Baltic republics to the Trans-European Transport Network.

The project consists in the development of the value engineering of the proposed solution, detailed design and author’s supervision of the section of the new line going through the city of Riga, capital of Latvia.

The section has a length of 56 kilometres which include, at least, seven regional stations that will be designed on a conceptual level, 14 road viaducts and 16 railway viaducts, 13 pedestrian walkways, four ecoducts, 61 transverse drainage systems and four underpasses. The section also features a 2,400 m cut and cover tunnel and two long structures of 815 m and 2,500 m.
