The first of the two contracts is related to the definition of an energy system implementation strategy, and the other to the definition of the maintenance facilities in the entire railway line.

The new infrastructure will connect Poland with Finland through Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with a double-track railway line of 870 km in length in total, of which 213 km are in Estonia, 265 km in Latvia and 392 km in Lithuania (see piece of news).

The Rail Baltica project, which is financed by Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania together with the European Commission, will foster economic development and environmental sustainability, and will implement high safety standards in the region’s railway.
