CAF to supply 23 additional trams to Belgian operator De Lijn

(09/05/2019)

The 23 new units form the third batch of a contract awarded to CAF in October 2016. This contract covered the manufacture and supply of up to 146 trams divided into batches whose orders would be consecutively activated by the client.

The first two batches, of 24 trams each, were activated in 2017 with the initial signing of the contract. The first 48 vehicles will be commissioned for revenue service next year on the Belgian coastal line, while this third batch of trams will be delivered during the second half of 2022 for services in the city of Antwerp.
