BcnRail, the International Railway Industry Exhibition organised by Fira de Barcelona that will be held in the Gran Via Exhibition Centre, will focus its fifth edition on the issue of sustainable mobility, which will be the key theme of the event.

The event will take place from the 17th to the 19th of November and will be held alongside the fifth edition of Smart City Expo, dedicated to showcasing applied technologies to make a more efficient and sustainable urban environment.
This edition of BcnRail will redirect the content of the show to put an emphasis on Smart Mobility, an aspect which will determine the future of the sector. The new approach comes in response to demands from the railway industry, which is forecasting that the future growth of city populations will lead to new challenges in areas such as transport, infrastructures, housing and the provision of basic services.
Congress
As well as the trade show section, the show will once again be a forum of debate for the sector with the organization of the BcnRail Congress, which is based around three key tracks: Smart Mobility, Foreign Markets and Freight Logistics. Various side events such as BcnRail Innova, organised by the Spanish Railway Foundation, and a business breakfast by the Infrastructures' Circle, amongst others, will round off the themed programme.
Visitors to BcnRail will have access to the Smart City Expo conferences addressing aspects such as sustainable mobility as well as to Hall 2 of the Gran Via Exhibition Centre, venue for both shows.
