(04/07/2018)

The vehicles, belonging to the Urbos family, will be 34 metres long with six double access doors, and they will be similar to those already supplied by CAF to the French city of Nantes.

The design incorporates special features to withstand weather conditions in Norway as well as a scope radar to prevent running people over, in addition to Wi-Fi, USB chargers and double screens for the passenger information system.

The contract includes an option to be extended to a further 60 trams and is part of the plans for the extension and modernisation of the Oslo tram network, which consists of six lines and 99 stops and where the units currently providing the service will be replaced.
