Typsa to design new Stockholm metro line in consortium with Swedish company Sweco



A consortium formed by the Spanish company Typsa and the local company Sweco has been awarded a contract to design an 11-kilometre long section of the new metro line for the city of Stockholm, linking Kungsträdgården with Nacka and Gullmarsplan.

(17/11/2014)  (28/10/2014) The contract, commissioned by Stockholm County Council, is valued at an estimated 60 million euros and includes the planning and design of the underground line, which will run in a rock tunnel underneath the Saltsjön Sea. The commission also includes the design of five new stations. The new metro line is expected to open in 2025.

This is Typsa’s first contract in Sweden. The company has developed its activity as a consulting engineering company in over 50 countries in the five continents. In 2013 it had a turnover of 187.45 million euros, of which 156.33 came from its activity abroad.
