Sacyr leads consortium to build section of Line 2 of Sâo Paulo Metro



The consortium, comprising Somague, Galvâo Engenharia and SA Paulista, will be constructing Lot 1 of the section of Green Line 2 between Vila Prudente and Dutra for the Sâo Paulo Metropolitan company in Brazil.

(30/10/2014)  The contract, valued at 1,474 billion Brazilian reais (about 490 million euros), includes construction of a double-track tunnel of 7.8 km in length and 11.65 m in diameter using a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM); and a series of tunnels of 1.8 km in length for parking convoys and which will be carried out by means of the Austrian method using an EPBM tunnel boring machine.

The consortium will also build Vila Formosa station, five ventilation shafts of between 12 and 15 metres in diameter, and a permanent platform superstructure.

Sâo Paulo Metro


Somague has been awarded the following projects for Line 15 of the Sâo Paulo Metro: Lot 3, which includes construction of three stations (Iguatemi, Jequiriça, Jacu-Pessego) and Pátio Ragueb Chohfi for the sum of 55 million euros; and Lot 1, which encompasses the construction of four stations: Sâo Lucas, Camilo Haddad, Vila Tilstoi and Vila União for the sum of another 55 million euros.

In addition, Somague is building Vila Prudente Station, which includes a bus terminal and a street-level Metro station along with its connection to the existing underground Metro line, a technical building and external lay-out for the sum of 35 million euros.
